Sustainable Landscapes, San Diego, CA Catherine Cole established Antigua Design Studio in 1989. Catherine is known as a premier landscape designer and horticultural consultant to homeowners and homeowners associations throughout San Diego County. As a graduate of landscape architecture, horticulture and interior design programs, she is uniquely qualified to blend interior and exterior lifestyles and long term health of plants. In order to offer clients a full range of services, Catherine has become a licensed landscape architect in California under RLA 4469 in 2000. This added construction, grading, drainage, irrigation and lighting plans and details to Antigua’s already extensive list of services.

Catherine Cole is a member of the ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) for 23 years and served as a board member. Antigua Design Studio is experienced in issues of wild fire protection, erosion control, water conservation and rainwater harvesting.

For homeowner's associations, Antigua Design Studio has provided turnover walkthroughs, maintenance reviews, prepared HOA guidelines and designed renovation programs. Having once served 8 years as landscape chairperson for a large homeowners association, Catherine understands the issues from the perspective of a homeowner's association.
